Romelle is a contemporary artist from Detroit, based in Mexico City whose work is a vibrant and dynamic exploration of color and mixed-media techniques. Referencing her background in abstract painting and mural art, her work is characterized by its bold use of color and spray paint, among other nontraditional materials. At the core of Romelle’s practice is a deep-seated study of healing on both an individual and community scale.

Romelle’s work is a reflection of her personal experiences living in different parts of the world, particularly her hometown of Detroit and most recently Mexico City. Through her work, Romelle continues to seek positive change on a deeper level through shared community.
